What skills have you learned or want to learn while doing your 

assistantship/internship?

Overall skills I am looking to improve upon are my written and verbal communication through one-on-one meetings with students, colleagues and other professionals on campus, my organizational and project management skills, as well as coordinating and evaluating community outreach events.

I am looking to improve my ability to advise student-athletes on academic opportunities within and outside the department and university such as jobs, internships, volunteering, studying abroad and job shadowingI would like to gain the ability to organize a successful community outreach event from start to finish Professional skills and knowledge of the process of academically advising student-athletes.

I have gained and looking to improve upon my ability to be an open resource for student-athletes as well as be a liaison to others within the MAC as well as outside the department to other offices on campus.
