Mentoring Programs

The University of Minnesota Alumni Association, in cooperation with collegiate alumni groups, coordinates mentoring programs for students each year. These programs offer you the opportunity to connect with students interested in pursuing work in your chosen field. Feel free to contact the UMAA through the link above.

CFANS Mentor Program

College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resource Sciences students connect with alumni and friends of the college who work in their areas of career interest.

 
 
College of Design Mentor Program This program gives students additional insight into the discipline and practice of architecture and landscape architecture, clothing design, graphic design, housing studies, interior design, and retail merchandising.  
 
CBS Mentor Program The Biological Sciences Alumni Society matches interested CBS undergraduates with alumnus who hold a job related to a student's field of interest.  
 
Carlson School Undergraduate Mentor Program
Carlson School undergraduates make contacts in the Twin Cities business community by matching with a successful business person in the field of their choice.  
 
Carlson School HRIR Mentor Program MBA students have an opportunity to interact with an experienced senior manager within the manager's organizational environment.  
 
IT Mentor Program Institute of Technology students are matched with professionals in science, math, and engineering fields.  
 
CLA Alumni Mentor Program Liberal arts students have the opportunity to meet and talk with professionals in various career fields.  
 
Medical School Alumni Mentor Program The Alumni Mentor Program matches students with alumni who understand firsthand the rigors of practicing medicine.  
 
School of Journalism and Mass Communication The alumni board connects SJMC juniors, seniors and graduate students with professionals willing to share their experiences.  
 
College of Pharmacy Introduces first-year pharmacy students to professional career opportunities under the mentorship of pharmacists working in a variety of practice and business settings  
 

School of Public Health

This program matches students with alumni and other practicing professionals who share their interests.
